Jose Antonio Reyes Has Died In A Car Crash, Aged 35

His former club Sevilla confirmed the tragedy on their official Twitter account. A post read: "We couldn't be confirming worse news. Beloved Sevilla star José Antonio Reyes has died in a traffic collision. Rest in peace."

Reyes, who was part of Arsenal's Invincibles in 2003/04, was playing with Extremadura in the second tier of Spanish football prior to the tragic accident this morning.

The youngest player ever to play for Sevilla aged 16, Reyes went on to play for both Madrid clubs and Benfica before sealing a dream return to the Andalusian outfit.

He then played a season with Espanyol as well as turning out for Cordoba and most recently Extremadura, where he had signed a five-month contract in January.

Our condolences go out to his loved ones at this tough time.
